Dried Fish

I got a package! It's from my sister who lives in New Jersey. She sent me 3 packages of dried fish. She knows that I have a hard time buying this type of dried fish here in Alabama!

Sweet and Sour Dried Fish


This is a dish that I have longed to eat. This is really good especially for someone like me who used to eat a lot of dried fish.

Ingredients:
Dried fish
Tomatoes
Onions
Garlic
Black Pepper
Red Wine Vinaigrette
cooking oil

Directions:
  • Soak dried fish in water. Soaking it will make it less salty
  • Sautee garlic, onion and tomatoes
  • Add red wine vinaigrette and season with bell pepper. Add a little water (if desired)
  • When tomatoes are fully cooked. Add dried fish.
  • Simmer for 10 minutes. Turning over the dried fish if necessary
  • Serve.

Dried Fish

I remember eating a very tasty dish of dried fish back home but I couldn't remember how it is called. But basically, it is a variation of dried fish menu.

Ingredients:
3 pcs dried fish
2 med size tomatoes
1 med size onion
3 cloves garlic
1/8 cup of slice ginger
2 tbsp cooking oil
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup water
pepper

Directions:
Wash dried fish thorougly. Soak dried fish with water for at least 30 minutes. Set aside
Saute' ginger until smell comes out. Add garlic, onion and tomatoes. Cook until tomatoes are mushy. Add dried fish, vinegar and water. Season with pepper. Bring to boil and simmer until dried fish is well cooked.
