Food Trip Friday: Eggplant in Garlic Sauce

This is a new dish in our favorite Chinese place. Eggplant cooked in garlic sauce with scallions on the top.

Honestly, this is a new taste to me. I never thought you can cook eggplant this way. Whenever they introduce a new veggie dish, I always try it because I like to order vegetables rather than meat.

This is actually good so I will order this again.

FTF: Chicken Stir Fry

This is a chicken stir fry at Shoney's. This is what I ordered for dinner last night. It was a disappointment. I end up hungry because this is not really the best. It is too sour and I didn't like it. Lesson learned, no more stir fry at Shoney's.

Food Trip Friday: Pinakbet

It's Christmas Eve in the Philippines. Our family will have a Christmas party. It will be festive. They will exchange gift and have a lot of fun singing, eating and drinking too! Oh how I wish I could bring my American family and witness how our Christmas is. Knowing my mom, I am sure she will be making a lot of Filipino snack items like rice cake, "biko", and a lot more. My brother will surely make chopseuy, menudo and all those famous dishes. My sister will cook spaghetti as requested by the kids and some salad too.... Tell me, who will not be hungry with all the food I mentioned?

Well, for me I will just feast my eyes on this pinakbet below for my food trip. .

From my kitchen to yours... enjoy the festivities and may you all have a Blessed Christmas!
