Twilight Football

Football_skills

For football fanatics like me, Twilight Football is another event to look forward to. The big event will kick off on September 22, 2009. This will be a very exciting event as there will be seven (7) matches that will be played during twilight in seven (7) stunning world locations.

The Twilight Football matches are taking place in some of the world’s most breathtaking locations – waterfalls, castles, deserts and glaciers. The locations will provide a challenging terrain for players and a stunning backdrop for low light digital camera photography. Game 1 will take place in Venice, Italy. The beauty of Venice as twilight cast a dramatic color across the city's historic rooftops make this place a perfect location for Game 1. Game 2 will be in Chamonix, France where it is known for its glacial beauty. This is one of the most spectacular place as players will battle the elements of thinning light among the mountains and glaciers. Game 3 will be in Antequera, Spain. In this place, players will battle each other in the arena of full heat and passion at Plaza de Toros. Game 4 will be in the historic place in Tintagel, United Kingdom where the ruins of the castle of Tintagel, the location of King Arthur's Camelot will be found. Game 5 will be in Iguazu Falls, Argentina - players will be surrounded by crashing waterfalls and lush vegetation. Game 6 will be in Pinnacle Desert, Australia where players will adore the beauty of golden yellows, deep hues, falling shadows as the blood red sun disappears. The final game will be in South Africa. Don't miss the final event as tension and anticipation builds up at 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa.

Twilight Football will be hosted by Sony in celebration of its low light photography technology. Check the specially designed kits and footballs for the event. Learn more about the Twilight Football at http://www.twilightfootball.net/.

My Favorite NFL Players

I admit that I am a big follower of football. Although football is not a famous sports in the Philippines where I came from, I became a football fanatic because my husband loves it. During my first year here, he diligently explained to me the rules, the plays and everything that has to do with football. Surprisingly, after watching few games, I was able to catch up and from then on I became a football fan.

These are my 3 favorite football players:
  1. Hines Ward. He plays as Pittsburgh Steelers Wide Receiver. He is one of the toughest wide receiver to play in NFL. He has been a NFL player since 1998. An interesting fact about him: he is half Asian. He was born in Seoul, South Korea.
  2. Kevin Faulk. He plays as Running Back for New England Patriots. He is a product of LSU (our favorite College Football team). He has been with the Patriots since 1999-2000 season. He may not have a very good stats but when he is in the field, he provides quality plays - he is a 3rd down guy... he always makes a good play in situations like this.
  3. Glenn Dorsey. A Defensive Tackle playing for Kansas City Chiefs. Another product of LSU. He played with LSU when they won a BCS Championship. He was a 1st round (5th pick) during 2008 draft. During his rookie year, he registered 46 tackles. I am looking forward to his performance this year.

Let's Talk Pro Football

Few more weeks and football season will start. We are big fans of football. During football season, our weekends are mostly dedicated to watching the games on TV. We are for Steelers! We like Steelers and its winning tradition. Their defense is really awesome. We were so happy last year when the Steelers won the Super Bowl. We hope that this year, they will also perform well.

Although we are Steelers fan, I think that Matt Ryan will be the one who will perform extraordinarily this year. Matt Ryan had a good rookie year. He did well for a rookie quarterback so I believe that he can surpass his performances last year because this year he already have an experience being a pro player. Another factor that will help Matt Ryan performed extraordinarily is their running back Michael Turner. Having Michael Turner as a running back will ease the pressure on Matt Ryan.

I like football so much that I even joined Football Fantasy. Football Fantasy is a lot of fun. I keep myself updated with players statistics by browsing pre-populated player comparison pages provided by WaiverWire. I also signed up with their Stimulus Package. This package will give me Free fantasy research tools, free real time fantasy player news, and free access to fantasy experts in their Fantasy Forum. If you want to know more about your favorite player and his stats and news, check them out at WaiverWire.com!

This season, I am looking forward to joining the football fantasy again. I love football fantasy because it allows me to take an active role in professional football by creating a team and competing with teams built by others.
